Playing music from the New Album "The High Road", Jeremy James is a singer/songwriter from Albany, New York. His 2007 release Landlocked reached the number 3 spot on the national OutVoice chart, and he has been hailed as “a hallmark of songwriting talent.” For his fifth record The High Road, Jeremy assembled a crew of like-minded musicians to create a bigger sound. This was not the coffeehouse fare that preceded it. The High Road is a record that defies categorization, incorporating elements of folk, blues, country, alt rock, and even a touch of reggae. The songs are earnest and catchy. The band’s imprint brought trippy guitar licks, thumping bass lines, and gave Jeremy a chance to introduce an electric mandolin to the mix. The recording lineup included Peter Lavery on electric guitar, John D'Aloia on bass and guitar, Erik Pravel on drums, and Jeremy's longtime partner in musical crime Joely Miller on backing vocals. The band worked with Jason Bourdeau at Drift Productions to memorialize the songs. Katy Westfall joins the band on bass for live shows.
